Two Trees morning the death of another
The Tree speaks to thee
The god of the Tree said,
“why not worship me.
For the cross was made of Tree!
You drive a nail and chop a trail
.On me you tell this very tale
!I give fruit to make you live.
What do you to me give!
Why do you my life take!
Burn my leaves and limps I make.
But then You do this to your self!
So said the Tree ,
“God Therefore,
must be a man!
”and not a tree,
Like me!
”and not a tree,
Like me!

LLOYD'S ART INFO My thanks goes to Lloyd Bradbury, one of my art- blogmates. I visited his blog one day and found out that this stranger is a blind artist. I was immediately drawn to him because he's blind, could paint well and SOLD 10 paintings in one month. Amazing guy! One day, we decided to link our blogs. He posted on his blog, that as a blind man, he needed help to do it. Despite of my little computer knowledge, I dared and took the time to teach him how to link my blog to his. We went back and forth that day and finally, he got it. What a big surprise! I was amused that he posted my blog's name in BOLD letters. Not only once but several times. I am very thankful because he made my blog famous. My site meter went up. This artist is no longer a stranger but a blog-mate. THANK YOU SO MUCH Lloyd for that wonderful publicity.Lloyds Art Info is one of my favorite art blog. This is a very special site where Lloyd shares his "real' journey as an artist. His latest works are inspirational and reflect the truth of his journey. If you're interested in art this is an inspiring site to see.

THE ART OF SAYING "BON VOYAGE"
"He who returns from a journey is not the same as he who left." - Chinese ProverbON LEAVE I am on leave for the next three weeks, as my hubby and I embark on a long awaited cruise to the Mediterranean (Italy, Greece and Turkey). This will be our third trip to Italy but first trip to Greece and Turkey. I am excited to revisit Rome and see many the masterpieces inside the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. I will be re-tracing the footsteps of Michelangelo and will be gazing at his handsome brushstrokes. It will be inspiring. Surely, I will come back with many art and adventure stories to share with you.
Go along with her on her post listed above I will be....

What Do You see ? A Thing of Beauty
`A thing of beauty is a joy forever.’ John Keats
Each of us perceives beauty in our own way.
But to be open to the beauty around we often need to unlock old patterns and look with new eyes.

A sketch for fun
I went to Grumpies today via the Library. It is raining in spurts. The rain is almost invisiable due to the bright sun shinning thru it all.The bug air force is out to defend the woods. There were even puddles on the swing bridge.Last night at 3 Am on Public radio I heard a book review. The title was "The End of the World" Haruki Murakami Author. So I took out a book by him.called BLIND WILLOW SLEEPING WOMEN..I will have someone read it to me.The quick sketch was for fun and how I felt as I walked thru the woods! Now I will Gesso some new canvas. Yes Sandy I did paint on some ceramic plates. Must find them to show you Be Cheery ,all. The Dreaming Artist

I need some help.
I have to finish several paints before I start my major project.
This project is a Aurel of Riverside IL. Actually it will encompass three communities. They will be Lyons,Riverside lawn and Riverside Village.
My paintings will be on four separate mountings. Of 2x4 panels. The mountings will host the Acrylic medium.
Now here is my deli ma What mounting material should I use? Stretched canvas, stryafhoam, wood or something else can be used with a Gestapo coating. The other considerations are weir]t durability and surface texture, also a major concern is cost,
Many of you as Grists have more experience then I. My fans and collector may have a preference of backings.
Any suggestions? I have done a lot of research on what I will paint that is not a problem. I have not tried such a large and intense project. The mounting of the work is cortical. Any suggestions? This is all done on my own with no sponsors. It is my own crusade
