"An art which isn't based on feeling isn't an art at all ... feeling is the principle, the beginning and the end; craft, objective, technique - all these are in the middle." -- Cezanne

What a beautiful undersea scene! Someday, if I win the lottery, I'll buy a submarine and live there. Meanwhile, I'll just click on your blog and enjoy looking at your painting.

Ther is no greater place for insperation thenn the Bible.

Jacob's Ladder
And he [Jacob] dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.And, behold, the Lord stood above it, and said, I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed....
-- Genesis 28: 12-13 (KJV)

I'm glad you liked this, Lloyd. I took this one as the sun fell out of sight. I so like the beach at that time. It's very quiet then. Like being alone with a very good friend.
Where is my friend?

Insperation

No stairs for me.I'd leap through the window and flyAnd pull my dreams and maddening schemesFrom the dancing light of the skyBefore I'd stay a course on a single pathThat begins and ends in a single, still place--Better to follow the light and dance with the breeze--Anywhere at all--Than to begin and end in standing in place. One Single Impression

Lloyd,Thanks for sharing my poem. I just couldn't come up with a poem about stairways, so I went where the thought of them took me--in a daydream through the window.God bless, friend.
Sandy do you have a picture of this plant?

another view

half way -- Underwater painting

The painting is slowly. evolving into another masterpiece. I uasaaly work on three paintings at a time.. It seems when I spend too much time on one it becomes muddled. I work with one color at a time ,layering one on another. I start with an objective but the painting seems to come alive and create itself. This underwater merage will have many more details added to it.Plety of bright fish and a ship wreck may be added. The picture will tell m whaT IT NEEDS.
