AN ARTFUL ADVENTURE#2
"The unexplainable thing in nature that makes me feel the world is big far beyond my understanding-to understand maybe by trying to put it into form. To find the feeling of infinity on the horizon line or just over the next hill." Georgia O'Keeffe
FROM SANDY Carlsen..
"This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness." So says the Dalai Lama.
"Love your enemies! Do good to them! Lend to them! And don't be concerned that they might not repay. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to the unthankful and to those who are wicked." So says Jesus Christ.
In our time: "Kindness--an everyday by-product of all the great virtues--is at once the simplest and most weighty discipline human beings can practice," according to Krista Tippett in her spiritual memoir Speaking of Faith.
These were the words of my friend Ebb Tide a Great Artist...
Ebb Tide has left a new comment on your post "a note to Self":
Thanks for posting this thought.
I am back doing oil painting and
as always Vincent Van Gogh continues to inspire me. I am working on a colorful scene that I saw when I was in Bangkok, Thailand-the floating market. I am using lots of complementary colors like Vincent. We'll see how it will come out.
