Answer to Ebb Tide...The Romantic Painter (Delacroix ) and Landscapist (Constable) use complementary colors to create more brightness to their paintings. the shadows of an object is the complementary color of the objrect. .. I did this naturaly until some one pointed this out to me....These two paintings I painted came out this way without me knowing of this theory
