Here are some examples of my Acrylic Art. They require no frame. They can be cleaned with soap and water if nessary.

Yes the one at the top. It has a complex, jewel like quality.
Not familiar with drafting plastic, but it does sound strong.
Do like working on canvas myself, sounds kind of more organic than plastic, best wishes, The Artist
